The hope of spring and new life brings a new art collection from Nash Acuña. Nash recently completed a mural in the children's area at the Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library. Her work in the world of art with both children and adults in the area is well known and loved.
A native of Carter County, Nash Acuña has been creating art since her childhood.
In 2005, Nash gained a Career Artist certification from Penn Foster, but is primarily self-taught. Acuña has been working professionally in various mediums including acrylics, collage, murals, watercolors and printmaking for the past 20 years. Using bright colors and dynamic brush strokes, Acuña hopes to evoke emotion and contemplation of everyday life in the viewer.
Join us for an art opening evening Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 4:00-6:00pm. We will welcome Nash and enjoy an evening of art, friends, and snacks.
"The Life of a Woman
Being a woman is a complex journey through a multitude of hills and valleys. Sometimes the way is darkened by trials and others illuminated by joy. Using bright colored acrylics and mixed media, I hope to bring you on a journey through these highs and lows that can only be described as the life of a woman."
Acuña still resides in Elizabethton with her husband, daughter and five pets. She credits her successes to tenacity, God’s grace, and the support of family and friends in her pursuit to follow her childhood dream of becoming an artist.
The art show will be on display the remainder of March for viewing and finding a piece that speaks to your heart to take home.
