Student ages 5 and up have a choice of two new art classes this spring at August Muse. Classes begin February 11, 2023, registration is open now. Nicole Hymowitz will teach two classes "Young at Arts" for ages 5-10 and "Exploring Sculpture without Clay" for ages 10 and up. Each class will conclude with a final art show in store at August Muse.
Nicole has received extensive training in the arts from an early age with her grandfather. She has also studied formally and has her BFA from Parson School of Design in New York. As an experienced teacher she loves to include the history of artists in her teaching.

Young at Arts classes will run Saturdays, February 11 through March 18 at 11:00am-12:30pm. (6 total) Students will explore Moller, Picasso, Mondrian, Van Gogh, Kandinsky, and Louis Nevelson. Each week students will create their own work based on they style of art studied that week. Registration fees include materials $50, Pay only for the classes you attend, $10 each! The final Student art show will be Saturday, March 18 in store at August Muse.
Exploring Sculpture without Clay classes will run Saturdays, February 11 through April 22 at 1:00-3:00pm. (8 total with spring break) Students will explore different types of sculpture, positive and negative space, and create their own sculpture using aluminum foil, duct tape, paper mache and paint. Registration fees include materials $50, Pay only for the classes you attend $15 each! The final Student art show will be Saturday, April 22 in store at August Muse.
