August Muse will host new local artist, Sharon Curtis, in her first collage art show. Join us for an opening, February 18, 2023 from 3-5pm as we welcome Sharon. Art show to run through March 17, 2023.
About Sharon
Curtis claims no formal training in the arts. She says the work of an artist friend inspired her to believe that we all have art in us. Curtis has spent the last 5 years honing her skills as a collage artist. She creates useable art with her collages on old cigar boxes to create a beautiful place to hold keepsakes.
“I saw her take old maps, photographs, and magazine cuttings and turn them into beautiful works of art without ever picking up a paintbrush. I thought, ‘I can do this!’”
